The acute respiratory failure and its treatment with non-invasive ventilation methods in Internal Medicine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Harol once again is among the sponsors of FADOI (Federation of the Associations of Hospitals Senior Executives Internists) in Bologna on October 28th and 29th at Hotel Cosmopolitan.<\/p>\n

There is growing evidence in recent years in favor of the usage of mechanic non-invasive ventilation (NIMV) during acute respiratory failure (IRA) outside ICU and Emergency medicine. In particular clinical conditions (chronic respiratory acidosis exacerbated in patients with BCPO, acute respiratory failure during cardiogenic pulmonary edema) these methods have proven themselves as secure and effective in terms of mortality reduction of mortality and the need of oral tracheal intubation , even when applied in traditional medical wards with or without \u201ccritical area\u201d. In the most recent years, the growing number of increasingly elderly patients with comorbidities has affected these behaviors aimed at improving the appropriateness of treatment, optimizing access to intensive care.<\/em><\/p>\n
